SOLVE Nepal is a rural development organization, working with poor and marginalized communities of Nepal since 1989, towards making sustainable improvements in the quality of life of the rural poor. Dhankuta as the centre of the Eastern Development Region of the country has seen many development activities going on it.
SOLVE was registered as a district-level non-governmental organization (NGO) on 26 October 1989, with the conviction that it could be a catalyst of development activities for the purpose of alleviating poverty among the various underpriviledged communities of the country, in line with the prime objective of the National Planning Commission (NPC). |

| The key activity areas of SOLVE include: raising awareness and capabilities of groups of individuals through supportive institutional intervention in agricultural development, rural water supply, health, nutrition and sanitation, environment, hill irrigation, micro finance, employment generation, community literacy, child education and right, and advocary and governance. |
